Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Welcome on arrival at Delhi by our honeymoontourindia.com representative and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of historic city. Visit Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk, the city tour continues covering New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the
Birlas, one of India's leading industrial families; Humayun's Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai's Temple , Qutub Minar , built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit to see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort.Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Book Now
Day 03: Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Morning after breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Bagdogra. Arrival and continuation by the road towards Darjeeling: queen of the mountains, through a landscape of wooded hills of tea plants. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore this beautiful place. Dinner and overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 04: Darjeeling
In the morning visit the highest spot in the area at 2590m, Tiger Hill is near Ghoom, about 11km from Darjeeling. The hill is famous for its magnificent dawn views over Kanchenjunga and other eastern Himalayan peaks. On a clear day even Mount Everest
is visible. Visit the Observatory hill & Tibetian refugee camp. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Diner and overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 05: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse
Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Pemayangtse - The mighty Kanchenjunga overlooks the land of Sikkim and Pemayangtse in Sikkim nestles close to Kanchenjunga. Pemayangtse is not a settlement. This is where 6000 ft above sea level one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries is located. The Pemayangtse monastery is the second oldest monastery in Sikkim and is the headquarters of the Nyingma sect. Diner and overnight at Pemayangtse. Book Now
Day 06: Pemayangtse - Gangtok
Morning after breakfast checkout the hotel and drive to Gangtok The state of Sikkim lies in the shadow of the mighty Kanchenjunga and its capital, Gangtok, is a picturesque mountain clinging town with monasteries, parks, pagoda style houses and colourful bazaars. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Later sightseeing of Gangtok covering Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Do Drul Choten, Flower Show, Cottage Industries, Ennchey Monastery, Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Gangtok
After breakfast take an excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake - 32 kms, situated at a height of 3,780 meters with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around and enjoy the Yak ride and Tibetans dish momo. Return back to Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Gangtok.
Day 08: Gangtok
Later if time permits then take an excursion to Rumtek Monastery 24 kms, Rumtek is a famous monastery, all over the world, especially among the Tibetan Buddhists, and is situated near Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Originally called the Dharma Chakra Centre, it includes a beautiful shrine temple and a monastery for the monks. The 16th Karmapa built the monastery. The place got an existence in the Buddhist pilgrimage map, especially after Chinese habitation in Tibet and subsequent relocations of some Tibetan religious gurus to Sikkim. Day 09: Gangtok - Kalimpong
Morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Kalimpong - situated at an altitude of 1250 meters between the Deolo and Durbindra Hills, Kalimpong is an ideal place for a quiet holiday amidst gently rolling hills and deep valleys at the foot of the mighty Himalayas. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit Durpin Dara; Flower nurseries Gouripur House; Swiss Welfare Dairy & Tibetan Monastery. Dinner and overnight at Kalimpong.
Day 10: Kalimpong - Bagdogra - Delhi
Morning after breakfast in time transfer to Bagdogra airport to board the morning flight for Delhi. Assistance on arrival at Delhi airport transfer to hotel. Evening free to relax, overnight at the hotel. Book Now
Day 11: Delhi Departure
